Werdegang

Dr. Christian Reichel is a research associate at the Leibniz Institute for Evolutionary and Biodiversity Research/ Museum of Natural History Berlin in the research program society and nature. Beside his research work, he is an active consultant in international development cooperation and works in nature conservation. He also volunteers on the board of the German Society for Human Ecology. His work examines human-environmental relations regarding biodiversity loss and climate change, social innovation, and adaptive co-management. He has conducted research using ethnographic and mapping methods on social resilience and adaptive capacity in a variety of social-ecological contexts in Africa, Asia, and Europe.
