First on-campus Cinematography workshop

Last week, the first on-campus workshop in our program M.A. Visual and Media Anthropology took place in one of the newly established hybrid rooms. Lecturer Mark Dölling gave the students an introduction to the practical work with the camera.

Shooting a documentary film requires not only creativity, but also many technical skills. The workshop therefore focused primarily on learning the technical basics as well as putting one's own ideas on camera work and the overall style of the film into practice.

Obviously, the course took place under strict hygiene regulations, i.e. all students as well as lecturers were tested in advance and equipped with FFP2 masks. In addition, some international students who could not participate live on site were connected via Zoom. Thanks to the modern audio and microphone system in our new hybrid room, they were able to follow the class remotely from anywhere in the world.
