Lidia Rossner is a cultural agent exploring the narrative and conceptual potential of visual media. Her practice bridges art and anthropology by producing and sharing knowledge about contemporary art and culture. She has a background in visual media production, research, education, writing, and project development. In 2007 Lidia co-founded dmovies.net, an online platform for research, documentation, and presentation of contemporary art practices. She is a lecturer at the M.A. Program in Visual and Media Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin and presents at international conferences on the topics of art biennials, contemporary art and anthropology, and trajectories of encounters: contemporary art in historical collection museums. Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Lidia lives in San Diego, California, and Berlin, Germany.
