Type in Motion: Design students present their own works in the Friedrichstraße U-Bahn station

How can the diversity of the city of Berlin be reflected through typography? During a semester project, Media University students designed and animated the Letter B E R L I N according to different approaches and concepts. On October 13, the final animations were presented exclusively on all 12 beamer projections and the digital displays in the Friedrichstraße subway station.

The animations were created as part of the "Type in Motion" workshop, which was led by Martin Lorenz from TwoPoints.net and Mario Gorniok from Keenly. The students can definitely be very proud of the opportunity to present their works to a broad public by means of WallDecaux's LED screens placed at the station: U-Bahn station Friedrichstraße, located not far from the Media University campus, is one of the most frequented public places in Berlin, with over 75,000 passengers a day.

You missed the digital exhibition? On October 27 and 28, between 7 and 8 p.m., you will once again have the chance to view the works of our design students at U-Bhf. Friedrichstraße.
