At first Daniel Lehmann didn´t plan to become a journalist. Pictures from his childhood days are the undeniable proof that he actually wanted to become a police officer or sheriff. Besides that litte detour back then he still managed to find his passion for writing. Even tho his actual intentions were just to increase his pocket money as a teenager. So he started to work at the „Märkische Oderzeitung“ and wrote articles about local politics and sport events in the area where he was born and raised. During his first work experiences as a journalist, Daniel Lehmann became certain that the only way he wanted to make his living is by writing.
But that also meant that he had to get out of his comfort zone by moving to Berlin. He started to study Journalism and Corporate Communication at the HMKW and worked for start-ups, newspapers and different organisations.
When he got the offer to work as a university teacher at the HMKW, he didn´t need much time to make his final decision. During his classes he is teaching the students how to work under the circumstances of the ongoing change in the digital world.
Besides teaching and writing Daniel Lehmann likes to spend his time in the nature, prefarebale close to the water. BTW he thinks that the old Star Wars Episodes are way better than the new ones.
