Background

Jeff Coons is proud jack of all trades, master of none. He has worked professionally as a filmmaker, marketer, performer/entertainer, text editor & translator, IT administrator, webmaster, researcher, mentor/advisor, and more. He has been working with video since 2005 in all roles of the video/film production process, but with a special focus on editing.

He earned his Bachelor's degree in Film Post Production from Emerson College in Boston, MA, USA and his Master's degree in Visual and Media Anthropology from the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. From 2017 through 2019, he worked as a Research Associate and PhD candidate at the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC) at the University of Giessen, Germany. As of 2020, he has been working as a mentor/advisor for international advanced scholars at the University of Marburg, Germany.
