Background

Janine Sack is a freelance art director, educator and publisher in Berlin. She conceives and designs analog and digital publications such as newspapers, magazines, books, websites and e-books. Janine's guiding interest in her work is the search for the inherent connection of form and content. 

Between 2013 and 2015 she was part of the publishing house The Green Box and has focused on digital publications. She founded eclectic publishing, a publishing house for e-books, as well as A Book Edition, printed artists publications, in 2017.

She teaches visual communication at design schools in Berlin. 

She has won numerous design awards for the re-design and art direction of the weekly newspaper „der Freitag“ (2008 – 2013). She teaches Editorial Design a.o. at the AMD, Berlin. Since her studies of Visual Communication at the Art Academy in Hamburg, she has been involved in artist groups and has curated events and exhibitions.
