On June 4, Michel Achenbach, Head of Business Development at Bitkom Akademie, gave an exciting lecture in the online lecture "Digital Economy" with lecturer Sophie Carls at HMKW Berlin. Achenbach gave insights into the work of Bitkom e.V. and presented relevant job profiles of tomorrow in the digital economy to the students.

HMKW students from the study program B.A. Media and Event Management have set up the Couch Contest as part of the Event Management module (led by Prof. Dr. Lorenz Pöllmann). During this online event, the best songs and music videos from the Corona time will be chosen.
Since winter semester 2019/20 the workshop Talent Campus_Video has been held every week at HMKW Berlin. Here, interested students from all faculties have the opportunity to gain practical experience in film, editing and moderation. Now the first show has successfully been broadcasted.
Starting this semester Prof. Dr. Klaus Kuenen supports the Department of Management and Business Studies at HMKW Cologne.
Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures: For the first time in our university’s history the enrolment ceremony took place online via Zoom. During the video conference the university management welcomed all new students and provided an outlook for the upcoming semester which initially takes place online.
Our field trip to Hamburg has nearly become a tradition: Two days our international master students discovered well-known companies from the media, technology and advertising sector. Like the recent years the students of the program “M.A. International Marketing and Media Management” in the module “Emerging Media Markets” were invited to a field trip to Hamburg.
Bye bye, HMKW! On 25 January more than 70 graduates celebrated their successful completion of their studies. During the official graduation ceremony, they received their certificates. What a wonderful start of a new stage of life.
This week our series of workshop talks concerning the 30th anniversary of the fall of the wall took place at our campus in Berlin. University lectures told the audience more about their personal perception of the historical events during that time.
