What is the first thing that comes to your mind, when you think about HMKW?
I think first of the mega delicious croissants in the cafeteria - just kidding ;) I think first of all of the many projects in which we were able to be creative.
We made a radio show, designed our own magazine and produced video contributions including filming, editing and sound.
You acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Corporate Communications at HMKW Berlin. What is your current job position?
I work as a presenter at the youth radio station 98.8 KISS FM. There I host the Drivetime from Monday to Friday together with my colleague Tolga. "Der Beat von Berlin mit Tolga und Lory" runs from 2-6pm. On Sundays from 12-14 o'clock you can hear me in the Kiss Classics Show.
Did you get any further work experiences prior to your current position that you would like to share with us?
After graduation, I did various internships, some of which led to a temporary job. These included radio stations, TV stations and various TV production companies.
When did you figure out your preferred career path? How much was your choice influenced by the compulsory internship?
My internship at another well-known Berlin radio station sparked my interest in radio.
Why did you decide to study “Journalism and Corporate Communications”? And what made you choose HMKW Berlin?
I like to talk a lot, I can also express myself well in writing and communication is one of my strengths. HMKW offered the opportunity to study in small groups in a practice-oriented and independent way - that convinced me to choose this study program.
