Bachelor and master students of HMKW Berlin presented their self-selected research topics in short presentations and discussed, among other things, with multimodality expert Jana Pflaeging from the University of Salzburg about design that not only conveys a clear aesthetic, but also carries a message.

The start of a new, initially hybrid semester: The matriculation ceremony for the winter semester 2020/21 took place recently at the three branches Berlin, Cologne and Frankfurt (Main) on site and online via livestream. With immediate effect HMKW joins the university network of the French group AD Education. ADE is an association of French, Italian and Spanish universities with a total of more than 15,000 students.
This year HMKW took part in the renowned Europe Teaching Survey for the first time and scored above average in the survey. The independent British organization Times Higher Education (THE) in London conducts the international study once a year at universities throughout Europe. The THE comparison tables are among the most important and most respected rankings of the international university world.
