According to HMKW lecturer Ramzi Fatfouta and Yulia Oganian from the University of California, mouth and nose covers, as they are currently worn, have a considerable influence on decisions in negotiation situations. In their preprint of the study, they have published the first astonishing results on this new phenomenon.

Students of B.A. Media and Event Management have launched three more creative online events under the direction of Prof. Dr. Lorenz Pöllmann. Media activism has been a burning issue at least since the recent protests of the "Black Lives Matter" movement. This semester, Dr. Philipp Budka is leading the seminar "Media Activism" in the course of studies M.A. Visual and Media Anthropology and he immediately picked up the current developments there. We talked to him about his approach to the topic, the emergence of media activism and upcoming student projects.
On June 4, Michel Achenbach, Head of Business Development at Bitkom Akademie, gave an exciting lecture in the online lecture "Digital Economy" with lecturer Sophie Carls at HMKW Berlin. Achenbach gave insights into the work of Bitkom e.V. and presented relevant job profiles of tomorrow in the digital economy to the students.
Digital workshop talks: On Monday, 8 June, a design conference was held for the first time at the HMKW via Zoom. Four exceptional international designers from Paris, Barcelona and San Francisco talked about their work, presented current projects and gave the students helpful advice on how to enter the design industry.
