How does the organizational concept of holacracy work in practise? This question currently concerns the students of M.A. Business Psychology at HMKW Berlin, who together with Prof. Dr. Maika Rawolle visited a start-up that applies exactly this form of organization and leadership.
Transparency, participatory decision-making and dynamic, flexible governance are some of the key aspects of this form of management, which has been widely used by non-profit organizations and NGOs.
During their field trip, Patrick Boadu, Marketing & Sales, provided the students with some insight into the practice of holacracy within the Berlin start-up, which aims at systematically integrating its mission of sustainability into all areas and processes – from corporate culture to product. In addition, the students took a tour around the production site of the so-called "Soul Bottles".
